We do our best to feature folks who have been referred to IRN, the hard part is finding a number to reach the cowboys and cowgirls, then to track them down when they have time to talk to us. Rodeo Queens have always been welcomed to send us their pictures and bios, to help promote the rodeo she represents! Tried to call the numbers we have for Sam and Dustin Bird, no answer. We'll keep trying, looking to feature them for June! Thanks all for your questions and support, our reporters, Lizzie Dixey, Sheila Totten, Colleen Crawler and Brandi Morin, and Gina Moore, are working hard to get you results and stories on our Native Cowboys and Cowgirls across North America. We are working to bring on a few more field reporters in the near future. How about a country music festival at our Big Indian Rodeos? Trying to reach Crow Fair about booking, Pat Cardinal, Ronnie Lee Twist, Nate Begay for a concert. What do you all think, never seen before Indian Country musicians jamming at a big rodeo!!! Hey, heard Strayhorse might be booked to play at White Swan this year, we'll keep you informed. Wouldn't they draw a big crowd!!! IRN/Staff
CommentsHi - Does anyone know if T/D Photos has an email address. I am trying to get in contact with them to see if they have any photos of the winners of the Crow Fair Rodeo 2002 to post on www.crowfair.com. Check it out you all and hope to see you there. Third Week of August.
CommentsThis is the best indian rodeo website by far! You not only keep up with Indian rodeos but prorodeos also, I think that's awesome. All your bios and all the cowboys and cowgirls you feature are very interesting! It's great that we have the chance to learn about our brothers and sisters across native country. I can't say more about how this website keeps you informed on what you need to know about rodeos and contestants. Oh, I was also wondering do you feature anyone who makes a request on a cowgirl or cowboy to be featured? Like rodeos queens who want to advertise their upcoming rodeo or fair? Did you get a hold of the Bird cowboys yet? I can reach them both if you'd like and let them know about this site. Thanks for also keeping up with Montana cowboys and cowgirls, I truly believe they have some of the best competitors in Indian Rodeo. IRN you all are doing a fabulous job, keep up the great work. 1 cute cowgyrl

CommentsIn memory of "Chief Brisbois" life time Indian cattle rancher from White Swan Washington. Chief passed away on Easter. Those of you who went to the White Swan rodeo last year, seen him present the "Peggy Brisbois" memorial trophy to be passed on each year to the top winning cowboy. Please take a moment to pray for his daughter Charlotte and son David, grandchildren Laura and Doug; his surviving sisters and all of us who knew him throughout the years. Chief and Peggy supported Indian kids who wanted to show steers and livestock at the Yakima County livestock shows. They also helped with the White Swan All Indian rodeo in the early years and were always there every year to watch the cowboys and cowgirls from all over the US and Canada come to compete. He will be missed. Thank you: Gina Northover-Moore IRN&Staff

ALL AROUND THE RODEO CIRCIT WE HAVE OUR INDIAN COWBOYS AND COWGIRLS SERVING OUR COUNTRY. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR PRAYERS AND SUCH, WHICH CONSERN OUR COWBOYS, COWGIRLS AND THEIR FANS, SO YES THIS IS INDIAN RODEO NEWS! ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS TO THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN SERVING THE UNITED STATES. MAY YOU COME HOME SAFELY? ~BROOKLYNN~
CommentsOn behalf of the our Navajo People and Native Cowboys/Cowgirls supports the U.S. Troop in the front line in Iraq. We pray for their victory and safe return to their families and the Native people. Roger David of Shonto, AZ....
CommentsI would like to ask for prayers for the SD national guard troops that are awaiting deployment in Ft. Carson I know several of them have babies/families that will miss them. Please pray for their quick and safe return. And SUPPORT our TROOPS. Thank you Sheila
CommentsBecause we (USA) are at war, and we have brothers and sisters in Iraq fighting for our country, we welcome postings on this guest book for prayers, though this is a Indian Rodeo News web site, by all means, we want to share thoughts and prayers for our troops! IRN & Staff
CommentsThanks for doing the article on Sean Culver! he's doing very well this year and I wish him and all Natives travelling the Pro - Circuit. I know how extremly hard that "Road" can get. It's not easy as it is portrayed... (Whose gonna do the midnight driving leg??) Also by the way.. Johnny Hammack Jr. is getting ready to "Break the ice soon".. That Bronc spill he encountered in Red Bluff Ca. last spring was tough on him.. Keep up the fantastic work IRN staff... "Nice Bio on Liana Tom" OrCwgrl, "May God Bless America" In the name of Jesus Christ!
Commentsjust a quick comment isn't this suppose to be INDIAN rodeo news?
CommentsMay our Heavenly Father watch over all those who are sacrificing there lives for us as we speak. GOD bless.
CommentsI agree with the last comment. May GOD bless us all as well as the troops and the United States. All my prayers!
CommentsMay GOD bless our troops and the United States.
CommentsPlease Pray that the war is short lived and that the United States accomplishes what we have set out to do. Young men are dieing for us over in Iraq territory to provide us the privelage to live in a country that allows us to sleep in silence. We are in WAR and nothing we do over here is going to change that.
CommentsI'd like to see an interview done on Clint Harry of Nixon, Nevada. This young person has really accomplished a lot for being so young. He is now in the PRCA standings. Could IRN do an interview/biography on him? He has lots of fans he doesn't know about. Thanks. Oregon Fan
CommentsJust wanted to say Hi, and thank you for all your support and coverage! We love our riders!!!! Ronnie Lee Twist
CommentsKeep up the good work so many other web sites has pop up ads that are a pain to close and notice that you have to down load Macromedias software to even get to web sites anymore IRN please do not use pop up ads or make us down load programs to view flashy web sites that are not usefull Marcia Berry SD

CommentsHello: IRN Staff & Cowboys and Cowgirls! Just to let ya'll know.... Sean Culver was riding at Pocatello,ID. @ the DNCFR (Dodge National Circiut Finals Rodeo) Not Johnny Hammack Jr., Johnny is still re-covering from his bad Bronc spill last spring, Johnny was still in the standings for the Columbia River Finals Rodeo and he was seriously injurred. Sean is doing very well for his "Bad -self". Good luck Sean @ the DNCFR and the Big Show!(PRCA). Your pal, CC
CommentsHello IRN Staff: I just returned from the DNCFR in Pocatello, ID., it was a pleasure to see So many natives there to support the Natives involved in the Dodge National Circiut finals Rodeo. The Team roping run that Sam/Dustin Bird made was awesome! Sean Culver was bucked off the Bareback Horse of the Year! (Dang it! Get em next time Sean!) Sean replaced Bobby Mote of Redmond Or., 2 time NFR qualifier, Bobby Mote broke his arm in a riding mishap. Johnny Hammack will be breaking out soon at the Rodeo he was injurred at last spring (Red Bluff,CA). He shattered his ankle somthing awful. Blair Burk missed his first Calf, Would of been an fast run! Wiley Petersen was there at the rodeo and the Northwest Inter-Tribal Agriculture Council symposium- "What a NICE guy" Ya'll Should attend DNCFR somtime It's a fantastic RODEO.. "Best of the Best" Rope and Ride there! CC - Oregon Cwgrl

CommentsCorrection: Sam Bird will be roping with Dustin Bird, not Jim Cole, at the Dodge National Circuit Finals next weekand in Pocatello, Idaho. Thanks! Montana Cowgirl
CommentsHey IRN! Do you think that you could feature Jesse Colliflower. He is an up and coming bronc rider, and is a very good basketball player. I think that he would be a great youth feature.
CommentsSpecial Thanks to the Columbia River circuit secretary, for helping IRN contact Sean Culver and Johnny Hammack Jr, Sean is currently in Texas at the Houston rodeo and we'll be working to set up a interview with him hopefully next week. We have contact info for Johnny Hammack Jr and see that he's set to ride at Dodge next week, we'll track him down for a interivew. FYI, here a the link to the Columbia River Circuit web site:http://www.colrivcircuit.com/ On their web site check out the Spring Break Rodeo School, Blair Burk is listed as one of the Calf Roping instructors, and Kelly Currin will be the barrel racing instructor. The school will be at the end of this month March 29-30th in Hermiston Oregon We'd like to wish Montana Circuit Team Roper's Sam Bird and Jim Cole "Good Luck" next week at the DNCFR here is a link to the page listing the Montana Circuit competitors where you'll see a nice picture of Sam and Jim http://www.prorodeo.com/Sport/DNCFR/4.1.montanaCont.html Note: Sam Bird not only is a champion roper, he's also serves as commissioner on the Indian National Finals Rodeo board! Be looking for daily reports on DNCFR results here at IRN. We have not made a selection for who will be April's featured youth. We hope to have Devyn Dennison featured for May. If you can help us contact Jerret Monroe and JC Guardipee we'll do a bio and feature them. Mitchel Rolin, we'll be contacting you as well! Thank you, IRN and Staff
CommentsHey nice bio on Shawn Best Sr. Although I didn't know he was that old (sorry Shawn). But then again it has been 11 years since I have seen him in person. That's what married life does to you. Nice to know he is still out there and doing a good job. Oh by the way IRN staff you have a nice web site this is interesting.
CommentsI mentioned an interview for- Johnny Hammack Jr. And Sean Culver... Johnny Hammack, Powell Butte, OR is Chinook Native, And Sean Culver Grandview, Wa. is Yakama Native.. Both of these young Cowboys represent the Northwest well in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association... Thanks, CC
CommentsI was just wondering, who is going to be the April Youth of the month. This is a really great page, and shows the talent that our native youth hold. I think that it would be great to Featur Jerret Monroe from Browning MT., or at least do a BIO on this great cowboy. He won the National High School Finals Saddle Bronc Riding championship, and is now sitting really good in the College ranks. You could also see him ride at some pro-rodeo's. I think that he is either 18 or 19 years old. Not sure. Also one on JC Guardipee from Cut Bank MT. Thanks, UIRA/WSIRA Fan
CommentsWhen are we going to see a bio on Koty Brugh. I think the bio's that were taken by you were great. It is so nice to see so much information on these cowboys.
CommentsIn regards to the future of the Miss Indian Rodeo America pageant. We are aware that the organization who was trying to hold their own program was suspended, for what reasons IRN does not know. We have sent mail to INFR asking for more information and if they can answer your question. The title of Miss Indian Rodeo and Miss Indian Rodeo America has always represented the INFR and member regions, that is where her home is. The young lady from Oklahoma was appointed by a group who wanted to start a "new" program but obviously was not endorsed properly by the INFR. She did what was asked of her by this organization in promoting their program. That is all we know at this time, once we are able to get a statement from INFR we'll update our "Rodeo Queens" page. IRCA results: don't worry about bugging us, we are thankful that IRCA has worked with IRN to announce their rodeos, we hope to establish a volunteer reporter to help with getting all Canadian rodeo results and news, which will take off the pressure from rodeo associations in following up with results. We'll give them a call tomorrow. The 2 people who contacted us about reporting for Canadian rodeos we'll be in touch this week. Thank you. Editor/IRN
CommentsI was just wondering what is going on with the Miss Indian Rodeo America Girl from Oklahoma. If she or there little organization is suspended or what ever good. She wasn't really representing all of the Indian Cowboys, It was more like Oklahoma. So does this mean that there is going to be a pageant next year at the INFR. Would like to know.
CommentsThank you I must sound like a bug.
CommentsWe'll give IRCA rodeo office a call and email about #2 Results. IRN
Commentscan you bug IRCA for their #2 rodeo results? please.
CommentsCan't wait to see Wiley Peterson in Albuquerque this weekend! Good Luck! Brooklynn
CommentsTo the folks who participated in IRN's prayer circle for Beni Paulsen's wife: Our constant praying and keeping candles lighted for Lisa is working, here is a updated report on her recovery provided by Sheila Totten: Lisa has now been moved out of the ICU and her surgery on her pelvis has gone well. Her latest Cat Scan also was well and according to Beni's report on his site Lisa not only recognizes him and answers questions but called him at home on the phone.Beni is very pleased with her progress Please continue your prayers for Michael "Tuffy" Crawford, the little guy who Tuff Hedeman admires deeply. We hope he recovers soon and is back mutton busting soon! Have a good weekend everyone IRN and Staff
