Events: Steer Wrestling, Bareback, Saddle Bronc What was your most memorable ride ? I would think, winning at Rapid City, SD Who is your all time hero? My mom and Dad, My dad rodeo’d and my mom barrel raced, Howard Hunter, The Etbauers, Ken Lensgrave was from this area, Tom Reeves, was always an inspiration, and all my brothers/cousins- we all rodeo together! When did you start rodeoing? When I was very young, Rodeo is all my family know… We raise bucking horses as well… What other sports do you enjoy? Wrestling and Football, I wrestled in state in high school Whats the funniest thing you have seen at a rodeo? *Chuckles.. I’d have to say when my brother was riding a saddle bronc, and the bronc jerked the buck rein out of his hand and he had to ride with “No Hands” for a bit! It looked funny! What advice would you give to a native youth that wanted to get started in rodeo? “Just Do It” Put your whole heart into it and Go for it! Find a Good School, good teacher and practice! We need more Cowboys! Do you have any superstitions? No superstitions What kind of music do you listen to? Old Country Whats your kind of movie? Out Cold What would you like to see more at rodeos? (In all aspects of Rodeo) Figure out some way for cowboys to get entered in rodeos, man we’ll be on the phone for a bit and not get entered, or it’s a draw to get entered; I think, MORE COWBOYS a BIGGER PAYOUT. Other Professional sports get paid a lot more, rodeo, is one of the oldest sports out there, we should get paid just as much as other sports. I agree, Rollie- irn
