Bert and the Muttley Crew at a Practice Session

When did you start an interest in rodeo?  When I use to watch the TV Series -             “Stony Burke”.  When I was a little boy, I started going to rodeos in Oakdale California, and hanging out at the clown’s trailer or rig. That’s the only part I enjoyed at the rodeo was the Clown/Bullfighter.

What other sports other than rodeo do you enjoy
Football, Baseball ,Bull ridings, Chuck wagon Races, Nascar

What is the funniest thing that you have seen or experienced at a rodeo? There are so many things over the last 36 years that’s its hard to just come up with just one..

What advice would you give to Indian youth about rodeo or anything in general?
Follow your dreams and spirit, or maybe do another sport because our sport is dying.

Geronimo- One of the Davis family’s- Miniture Bull

What advice would you give to Indian youth who wanted to participate in rodeo but didn’t have the resources or support to get involved?  ? Go to Rodeo schools, and practice pens

Are their any songs that inspire or pump you up before you ride or rope?  The Boys are back in Town by the Bus Boys, Take it to the Limit by the Eagles, Running against the Wind by Bob Seger, In my own way by Marshall Tucker, Burning down the House by Nickleback

What would you like to see more of at Rodeos?
Me….. Rodeo Clowns with good Acts, Specialty Acts, more Entertainment.

What are/is your favorite western movie(s)? Lonesome Dove

What is your favorite music? Classic Rock and Roll/ and Country

What was your most memorable ride or run?  ? My first one (ProRodeo) as a pro bullfighter at St Paul, Oregon, and the NFR when I performed there with Kelsey.  But, there are so many more for one reason or another.

Who is your all time hero? ? My parents, Wild Bill Lane, Wilbur Plaugher, Mac Barry, and other top legendary clowns

What Cowboy or Cowgirl has influenced you to rodeo?
My wife Frannie, Wild Bill Lane my teacher.

Would you like to thank sponsors and or anyone for your success in rodeo?   Thanks to the committees, producers, and stock contractors that hired me, my families, past and present. My wife Frannie for being my biggest supporter, and Linda Davidson that has been there for me in many ways, and making me a lot of great clown costumes. Nutro products for the two year sponsorship feeding my dogs, which we are looking for a new sponsor to feed the Muttley Crew.

Frannie and Bert Davis

* Bert Davis, Nutro; and the Muttly Crew- are looking for Rodeo’s and Rodeo Committee’s to booked, and  perform at your Bull Riding or Rodeo event-  As you can see Bert has many years of experience in the ProRodeo arena-  Sponsors and Rodeo Committee’s-  Look Bert Davis up for your Rodeo Entertainment soon-  Good Luck to you, Bert and Frannie Davis..
