What tribe are you a member of or descendant of?  Blackfeet

 

Grade in School, name of school:  Senior in High School

 

Activities you are involved in at your school:  National Honor Society, Rodeo Club, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Year Book

 

Pets: 1 dog – Badger

   1 cat – Kitty

   3 Horses – Pichou (Barrel Horse)

   Teddy (Rope Horse)

   Mr. I in the Sky (Race Horse, gonna be a Barrel Horse)

 

What events in Rodeo are you involved in?  Barrel Racing, Pole Bending and Break Away Roping

 

What achievements have you made in your event that you compete in or activities you are involved in:
2002 UIRA Year End and Average Junior Barrel Racing Champion

Won a saddle at the Circle R Memorial Rodeo in
 2003

2004 UIRA Finals Barrel Racing Champion

 

What are your future goals in the event(s) you compete in?  “The biggest goal was to make it to the INFR, now that I have qualified my goal is to reach higher and become a World Champion.”

 

Who is your ultimate hero?  My dad, Keith Tatsey

 

Within the rodeo world:  Who is your ultimate favorite cowboy or cowgirl?  Traci Vaile

 

What is your favorite TV show?  Girls Behaving Badly

 

 What is your favorite Movie?  Cowboy Up and 8 seconds

 

Who are some of your favorite musicians?  George Strait 

 

What do you do to help others?  “I do a lot of community service, thing like, mentoring youth and caring for elders.”

 

When you grow up and graduate from school, what are your plans?  “Graduate from high school and attend college at Colorado State University”

 

 

Do you plan to attend college, if so, what will you major in?  “I plan to major in Equine Science and Veterinary Medicine”. 

 

 

If you could give advice to another Native youth on how to get started doing what you’re involved with, what advice would you give them?  “I would tell them to not be afraid to try things, work hard at it, and practice makes perfect”. 

 

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?  “To succeed throughout life and achieve my goals”. 

 

What would you do to educate others about being a Native American Youth from your tribe:  “To get more involved with learning our language because we are losing our unique way of speaking.  To know that drugs and alcohol are not the only things out there, and I encourage youth to look for a brighter future.” 

 

Misty would also like to thank everyone who supported her along the way, and she would also like to send a big Thank You out to her high school rodeo coach Robin Johnson for always being there and always giving such great words of enthusiasm! A thanks out to Barbie Reagan-Powell for being such a great word of encouragement and a #1 rodeo supporter.A BIG BIG Thank you out to Tracie Vaile for always giving such great advice and helping me along the way, and to Gus you are the greatest....I don't know what I would do without you! Thanks for taking such great care of my horse! A huge thank you out to my two kind grandparents, Myra and David Knopfle You are the best and thanks for every thing that you have done, from all the great support to all the expenses you have helped out with, and I promise I won't ever let you down! I love you guys!!! Last but not least...My wonderful family! Keith, Maranda, Hub, and Peter you guys are the worlds greatest family, and thanks for all your loving > support and all the great encouragement. Things couldn't be the way they are without all of you, thanks so very much and I love ya!!
