Update: June 22, 2003
Jarrett Monroe qualified and competed at the College National Finals in Casper Wyoming,  here is a story from his Mom,

"Jarrett had a very successful freshman college rodeo year. For the Big Sky region he ended up 2nd in the Saddle Bronc, 3rd in the Bullriding (by 5 points) ,and 2nd in the All-Around race. You can get the standings at the collegerodeo.com. He also won all 3 goes at the CRCS (College Regional Championship Series-Bozeman, MT) in the Saddle Bronc. He was also elected the Saddle Bronc Student Director for this Regional Finals by his fellow saddle bronc competitors. He then went to the College National Finals in Casper, Wyoming and did very well there. He took 2/3 in the first go, 5th in the second go, did get a score in the third round and 2nd in the short go. He ended up in third place in Saddle Bronc National Standings, 6 points out of first for the National Title. It was very close and exciting. There was a lot of news coverage in the Casper Star Tribune or go to the College National Finals site (collegerodeo.com), then to the Casper Star Tribune-Casper and there is several articles that Jarrett was interviewed. He had a lot of fun, even participated in the golf tournament that is held in conjunction with the CNFR
